Nine was such a great doctor. He didn’t mince words or skirt around his attraction. He was so open with his feelings towards Rose, and wasn’t ashamed to show them. He’d been through so much, seen so much death. And who knows how long he wandered the universe, utterly alone and broken, torturing himself with bottomless guilt and pain. Then this beautiful, amazing girl comes into his life. She’s vivacious, and young and free spirited. And she saves him. She gives him a reason to laugh, to have adventures, to learn how to cope with his demons. And he doesn’t shove his feelings for her to the back burner. He embraces them. Just look at how he looks at her. Like he’s never seen anything more beautiful than this miracle that’s brought him back to life.
